Does Web Browsers Affect Earnings?
A recent study from infolinks shows that if the visitors are using Opera Internet Browser, it generates a better CTR and CPM for webmasters. Infolinks made the study on a sample of about 40 million impressions across their ad network during the month of July, 2010.
The results showed that CTR in Opera is approximately 50% higher than Google Chrome and Safari, about 40% higher than Mozilla Firefox and about 35% higher than Microsoft Internet Explorer. There’s line graph below comparing the results.

Opera also tops in eCPM rate. It is about 35% higher than Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. It is around 10% higher than Safari and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Below is the line graph chart for the comparison of eCPM rates for browsers.

How it can affect your earnings?
The study was based on impressions across the infolinks ad network and may not reflect overall advertising networks. CPM Advertising Networks are independent of web browsers or user-agents. Sometime contextual and behavioral ads might get a better targeting due to the user-agent, but the difference is not that high.
You cannot do anything except adding a note like “This website is best viewed in Opera” and hope your visitors might close other browsers and open your website in Opera. So, leave it as it is and do not bother much.

Having This website is best viewed in Opera will hardly give you few cents because infolinks never pays more than cents and having it can ruin your reputation more than those cents. I am better off not using them on my main sites.
