Adsense Introducing Google Certified Ad Networks
Today, Adsense announced Google Certified Ad Networks to run advertisements from advertisers of third party ad networks.
Which means that advertisers from these third party networks will be able to compete with AdWords advertisers to show on the Google Content Network. Well, this is NOT something new. We already have Adsense Third Party Ads announced in May, 2008. This new feature will automatically be enabled for your adsense account, and a new section in your Adsense Setup > Ad Review Center labeled “Allow or Block Google Certified Ad Networks” will be added where you can allow or block specific ad networks or all networks except AdWords. They also announced that they will gradually be adding new ad networks over the next few months.

Google Certified Ad Networks
Publishers do not have to change the existing ad code as the networks ads will be delivered to all the using the same method, i.e behavioral targeting and interest based targeting. The third party networks will not be allowed to collect your website’s personal data and export cookies into a visitors computer ensuring the maximum securities.
This is really a great move from Adsense as this bound to increase the advertiser competition thus increasing the EPC and eCPM for publishers.

Great post, very helpful. What does Google show you about the certified networks? Do you see information about their privacy policies and such?
Great read. Thanks for sharing. I agree that this is really a great move from Adsense to increase the advertiser competition.
Really great move of Adsense! Internet Security is a really crucial factor for everybody. Privacy of important information is a must because of all the phishing and identity theft issues going around.
i used it to disable few ads , but later realized , i lost bucks …

I think this is great for us. The more ad networks are added by Google, the better and more ads we can display/publish. Good stuff.
Thanks for the report. I wonder will these 3rd party ads pay less than the regular ones?
